Me encanta que en la primera estrofa, él cuenta una historia corta, chistosa, común y que, a pesar de esto último, resulta ser increíblemente detallada; te sumerge en el momento que describe, te recuerda a momentos cercanos que has tenido con la gente que quieres, en pocas palabras, te sientes relacionado. Lo que más me gusta es cuando dice:

Esa es la magia detrás de las fotografías; retratan una pequeña parte del pasado, solo con ciertos detalles explícitamente visibles pero, al observarlas años después, revivimos esos momentos como si hubieran ocurrido ayer. No puedo negar que de vez en cuando veo fotos viejas, tanto en álbumes familiares, como digitales, solo para recordar las cosas que anteriormente viví y me hicieron feliz.

Estos versos también se me hacen muy importantes, debido a que gran parte del tiempo, no vemos la magia de la vida ordinaria. Es normal, a todos nos pasa; lo chistoso es cuando ves hacia atrás y te das cuenta de la suerte que posees, de lo bonita que la vida puede llegar a ser, aún en sus momentos "menos" emocionantes. Todo recae en nuestra capacidad para identificar esas ocasiones.

Ahora, pasamos a la segunda canción. "3x5" es una canción del álbum "Room for Squares", compuesta por John Mayer.
Nota: "3x5" eran las dimensiones
estándar de las fotografías, entonces,
cuando John lo dice en la canción,
pueden leerlo como sinónimo
de "fotografía". De hecho, esta
es una de alas razones por las que
me gusta tanto; tiene una forma
muy bonita de referirse
a objetos como esos.

Una vez leí que muchas veces, tienes más fotos con gente equis, que con tus mejores amigos y ahí es donde entra esto; cuando en verdad disfrutas algo, prefieres vivir el momento sin distracciones. Voy a aprovechar para citar una escena de "The Secret Life of Walter Mitty" (filme que por cierto, considero una preciosa obra de arte):

Lo más bello no se crea a la fuerza, viene naturalmente y debes disfrutarlo con todos tus sentidos. Como dice John Mayer:
